Description

High traffic corridor users can experience reduced traffic delays when agencies apply recent precast pavement system technologies. Precast pavement concepts are supported by the FHWA Every Day Counts (EDC) initiative for accelerated construction. The Fort Miller Co., Inc. of Schuylerville, NY, has developed the slab-on-grade Super-Slab® System for using fully-cured precast concrete slabs for overnight repair of highway “trouble spots” that are too busy to take out of service. The presentation will cover recent project applications of the following:

  • Concrete Pavement Repair and Widening Projects
  • Bridge Approach Slabs
    • Including recent Oklahoma DOT bridge approach slab application as studied by Texas Transportation Institute
  • Municipal Utility Cuts
