Downsizing, reorganization, and leadership transitions are among the most common and challenging organizational changes that professionals are tasked with navigating effectively. The need for workforce to be equipped with skills to navigate these transitions is substantial and recent research confirms it. Maintaining high levels of morale and productivity when times are tough is vital for the overall growth and health of the organization; however, particularly during times of transition, attitudes and behaviors are contagious and it takes only one person to negatively or positively influence the masses. More often than not, change elicits fear and uncertainty, which can tank engagement and create additional barriers to move forward and rebuild.
