Description

This training is designed with a focus on daytime projects that cover up to a typical work shift in duration, along with short duration projects that last less than one hour. This course is based on recent work zone safety audit field reviews performed on water system utility projects.

This course was developed in 2023 and 2024 and delivered as part of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Susan Harwood Grant Program.

Speaker(s)

Tim Luttrell is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Tennessee and the District of Columbia. Prior to his 25-year career at Leidos/SAIC, he worked for the State of Tennessee in developing TDOT's long range planning processes and STIP programs. He currently manages contracts with FHWA on Work Zone Safety, is an ATSSA Master Instructor under the Work Zone Safety Grant Program and performs traffic studies and designs. He has taught hundreds of courses over the past decade for ATSSA, FHWA, the National Highway Institute and UGPTI's Transportation Learning Network (TLN).

Motor-grader operators, road supervisors, signing personnel, maintenance personnel, contractor, consulting engineers, project managers and safety officers.
